Best multi-use Ethique products for travelling

When we formulate our products, we always try to make sure that they can be used for more than one purpose. Our conditioner bars, for example, can be used as a leave-in conditioner, hair mask, shaving bar or as an in-shower body moisturizer!

Here are our top recommendations for the best multi-use bars you will love for travelling.

Plastic-free travel-sized toiletries

Not only are our minis the perfect way to dip your toes (and hair) into our plastic-free range, but they are also the perfect option if you’re looking for plastic-free travel-sized toiletries for your next trip.

We have mini 15g options for most of our range. They are super cute, small and are the perfect compact size for travelling. Each mini lasts between 10-20 uses and dry very quickly,

Can you cut an Ethique shampoo bar to make it smaller for travelling?

If you don't have time to grab a travel-friendly mini bar, cutting a slice off your full size bar will work too! Make sure you use a sharp knife  (leave in hot water for a moment) and cut very slowly to stop them from crumbling.

How to store your Ethique bars when you’re travelling

An airtight container is your best option when travelling with solid bars as it keeps them in one place, stops them from getting squished and keeps them in top form when you’re moving from one place to another.

The best storage solution is the one you already own! So, anything out of your reusable container cupboard that fits the airtightness bill will get the job done.

Tips for speed drying your bars in a hurry

When time is of the essence and you have a plane to catch shortly after using your bar in the shower, a few speed drying hacks will come in handy! Not even the best storage solution will help the drying process, and if you were eyeballing the hair dryer, just don’t. Using heat to dry your bar will melt it and nobody wants that.

Tip #1: If you are in a hurry, pop your bar on a flannel or towel near an open window and get that airflow going while you finish packing and getting ready. Just don’t forget to grab it before you go!

Tip #2: If you have access to a hot water cupboard where the hot water cylinder resides, this will be a welcome time-saver. Lie your bar flat on a flannel or towel and shut the cupboard, but don’t forget to retrieve it on your way out.

Safe travels ✈️

Super easy right? Allowing your bars to drain and dry before popping it into your storage container of choice is pretty much all you need to keep your bar with you throughout your travels. That, and not leaving it behind!
