I’ve struggled with conditioner bars in the past, so I was keen to try the new formulation. Unfortunately this is not an improvement for me. I found the new shape awkward and unwieldy to use - it needs to be flatter to smooth over your hair. The texture also seem harder and denser, which makes it difficult to get enough conditioner off the bar and on to your hair. The combination of these two things means I ended up pulling out hair during application. The conditioner itself leaves a film on my hair and no noticeable improvement in the frizz. I’m happy with the shampoo bars and applaud the brand’s commitment to sustainability, so I really wanted to like this but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I’ve given the bar to my son to use as his hair is thicker and straighter than mine and it seems ok for him. Sadly not suitable for my fine waves.

The updated triangle shape was designed to feel balanced in hand and improve glide, but we understand that different hair types can respond very differently—especially when it comes to porosity, which can affect how easily a product distributes and absorbs.
