Unscented Shampoo Bar Mini: Bar Minimum™

Love this bar. I'm super sensitive to fragrances in my hair and skincare products, but this unscented shampoo bar is perfect for getting my hair clean without the added fragrance. Works great, big bar that lasts a long time - very happy!

Works well. No fragrance. Lathers great.

I think it gives weighs my hair down but washes fine if you need a fragrance free shampoo.

Pros: I loved this shampoo bar. It is brilliant for travelling and I do not feel as if I have lost anything by using a solid product. It has no scent, which is great if you have sensory needs ( eg. Aspergers) . It lasts a good amount of time if you look after it. My hair feels good and does not feel stripped after using it. Great waste-free packaging. My scalp and skin are happy. It is also good for all ages and isn't marketed towards a particular gender. This is go to be my stable shampoo going forward.

Cons: I came across this product after the sensitive scalp lime bar I originally bought gave me a terrible skin reaction, so not all ethique bars are good for your skin. I am not sure this shampoo will actually last me the time it says on the package ( the full 3 months), as it seems to be disappearing. I do not have very oily hair, but if I did, I might recommend washing it twice through. I would prefer to have no dyes in the bar.

For years I have been in such extreme discomfort because every time I washed my hair, my scalp reacted so violently that I could feel it tingling, burning and flaking immediately. Every product I ever tried, same result. Occasionally I would get one good try of a new product, but by the second attempt I was in agony again. I tried not washing my hair at all, but sometimes it was necessary.

When I tried Ethique unscented shampoo and conditioner, I was amazed. My hair was clean and my scalp was happy! I didn’t write a review right away because I was wary, but six months on and I am just as happy. My husband commented on how much more myself I am now that I’m not constantly uncomfortable, itchy, or embarrassed. It sounds exaggerated, but honestly this product has actually improved my quality of life. I’ve told everyone I know!
