    Revitalizing my waves

    I have 2b waves and was not taught how to take care of them but now that I am learning I love to uses this it work great with my hair and does not weigh down my hair as I also have oily fine hair as well.

    Works well for me.

    I do a lot of ocean swimming, my hair can get dry and frizzy with the salt water. This shampoo has made a difference, it actually does help to define my curls. I like the new bar shape, it's easier to hold. It lathers up well too. I'm a total convert.

    Not as great as the old Professor Curl, but still good

    I was a loyal devotee to the old professor curl bar, it was the best shampoo bar I've ever used for my fine, curly hair. I don't love the new moon shape, its not as easy to store and travel with as a plain square. The new formula is also more mushy than the old one, so it doesn't last as long (maybe 2 months at most) whereas the old professor curl lasted me at least 4 months. The new formula can sometimes be too hydrating for my hair as well. Its still good for curly hair, but I am looking for something different to replace my beloved professor curl shampoo bar.

    Thanks so much for sharing this, and for being such a loyal Professor Curl fan 💛

    The base formula hasn’t significantly changed, aside from the addition of Fibrehance. What can feel different is freshness. Older bars naturally became much firmer over time as they aged and lost moisture, so they often felt harder by the time they were in use. Newer bars are simply fresher, which can make them feel softer in comparison.

    A softer bar can release more product per wash than a well-aged one, which may explain the shorter lifespan and that heavier feel. Solid shampoo bars also perform best when they’re able to dry fully between uses with good drainage and airflow, as humidity can affect their firmness over time.
