Why we’re changing our prices for the first time ever

For the first time in our ten years in business, we’re increasing our prices on August 1, 2023. Our community (that’s you!) is so important to us, so we wanted to take the time to explain what’s changing and why, before it happens.

What’s changing & when

Starting August 1st, you may notice some of our products have changed slightly in price. The difference will be no more than $1.

Price Increase Examples

What’s not changing

  • The size of our products (no shrinkflation here!)
  • Our formulations
  • Our ingredients and where we source them
  • Our values, commitment to fair trade and sustainability.
  • Our living wage certification – every one of our team earns a living wage. We won’t compromise on that.

Why

Because the cost of running a business has gone up significantly over the past few years. Everything from freight (and yes, we use sea freight as much as possible) to raw ingredient prices to labor costs and interest rates have increased, to name a few!

Since our early days back in a tiny kitchen in 2012, we have been committed to being transparent, equitable and sustainable. We’ve never had a price increase (although some of you may remember a price decrease a few years ago to pass on cost savings to you as we grew), but now we are at the stage where a slight increase is unavoidable.

We will never abandon our commitment to raising the bar through products, packaging and practices that give back more to the planet and its people than we ever take away. Your support means we can continue to work with our amazing ingredient producers and manufacturing partners who put worker welfare and environmental protection at the forefront of their business.

Thank you for championing our mission and our business. So far, we’ve saved 28 million bottles from manufacture and landfill, and we’re not slowing down now! We’re working towards half a billion... by 2030. Let’s go!
