Citrus aurantifolia (lime) oil

Lime essential oil is derived from lime peel. We use it for its scent of course- it's delicious. Lime oil is biodegradable and the limes sustainably farmed. As citrus oils come from the citrus peel, it is often a waste product that would ordinarily not be used. Citrus oils are often phototoxic, except distilled lime, sweet orange and mandarin oils. This means your skin can be damaged very quickly due to compounds in the oils when exposed to the sunlight if used in products that you leave on your skin. We only use distilled lime oil in our products to ensure safe use.
