One plastic-free box makes one 350g bottle of balancing liquid shampoo suitable for sensitive and touchy scalps. To make, simply mix the concentrated bars with boiling water and you've got a fresh batch of foamy, colour-safe liquid shampoo, minus the plastic bottle!

Made with coconut milk powder to help nourish and tame hair. Unscented and made with plant-derived surfactants to gently cleanse sensitive scalps. Made with 100% naturally derived, ethically sourced, sustainable ingredients and packaged in certified compostable cardboard packaging.

1. Pour entire contents of box into a heat-proof jug.
2. Add 300ml (10.14 fl.oz.) of just-boiled water and gently stir till with a fork until the powder has dissolved. The key word here is *gently*. Otherwise, you’ll get a whole lotta foam on your bench that you’ll then need to deal with.
3. Allow it to cool slightly, then pour the mixture into a bottle you already own and pop a label on it. Give it a few shakes while it’s cooling.
4. Once made, use your liquid shampoo within six months.

Massage into wet hair; starting at the roots and working down the ends. Apply a coin size amount to wet hair and scalp. Massage in well to create a creamy lather before working down ends. Rinse for bouncy, refreshed, healthy-looking hair.

Use any plastic or aluminum container – it’s best to choose something that is shatter-proof. Even better if it has a pump to make washing a little easier.

Yeah, no

This product is unscented as promised, and yes as a liquid concentrate it melts really well and creates a rich lather which I prefer in my products. It definitely does clean the hair and makes it nice and shiny! However, its really not a gentle product at all. I can see how on skin it would be okay but on hair it’s absolutely horrible. I would not recommend it. This product makes my hair dry out worse than a desert. For someone with low porosity, fine, flat hair, this product makes my hair tangle horrifically, even worse than Ethique’s “hydrating” shampoo. Maybe this product would work on a different hair type, hopefully? I really like some of Ethique’s products, and maybe the new formula works much better than this one! But thankfully this formula is discontinued.

Such a shame it's an end of line product

Look, this is amazing. Yes, the bar needs chopping up a fair whack to dissolve quick enough in hot water, but the ability to add a couple of drops of essential oil? Divine.

Perfect for my curly hair

I ordered this shampoo bar concentrate a few months ago, I tried it and I loved it. I am running out of this product so ordered 3 more bars. It leaves my curly hair clean and shiny. I highly recommend it!
