The Ethique Scalp Health shampoo bar has been an absolute revelation for my hair. After years of trying countless liquid shampoos and other shampoo bars, this is the **first and only shampoo bar that truly works on my FINE AND THIN hair!** I've genuinely loved the results – my scalp feels healthier, and my hair looks great. It's been a total game-changer for me.
However, I've run into a consistent and frustrating problem: **it becomes mushy in the shower, no matter what I do.** I've tried every trick in the book – keeping it on a well-draining soap dish, ensuring it gets airflow, even patting it dry after use – but it still softens significantly. This means it doesn't last as long as I'd hoped, which is a real shame given how much I adore the product itself.
Adding to this frustration is the **new shape of the bar.** The previous shape allowed me to easily cut it into smaller pieces, which was my secret weapon for keeping it drier and extending its life. With the new design, that's no longer an option, exacerbating the mushiness issue.
Reluctantly, I'm going to have to explore other options and switch to a harder bar, perhaps from brands like Humble or Earthling Co., just to get something that lasts longer. My sincere wish is that Ethique could reformulate this fantastic bar to make it just a little bit harder and longer-lasting. If they could crack that, it would truly be the perfect shampoo bar.

So easy to use. Foaming after a few swipes. My hair is clean, shiny just like other shampoo. And I love how I don’t have to worry about the plastic pollution.

I love this shampoo. It is reasonably priced and makes my hair feel great. My hair stay clean for a long time and my scalp isn’t itchy anymore like it is with other soaps.
The smell is pleasant and not over powering.

I didn't realize how itchy and flaky I've been in the past. It's nice to be able to use something that isn't sulfur or zinc (which dry me out) and have what seems like a normal scalp. Reduced my scalp breakouts too - I might have been allergic to ingredients in some other shampoos.... And it smells great.

This is my second purchase of the scalp health formula and my hair/scalp has been so satisfied!! I have been trying various brands and types of shampoo bars for several years. Many are not good. Ethique was always in the top 3 brands that actually work/perform well. I'm so glad I decided to re-try Ethique again this year. I first tried the Curl shampoo bar and results were acceptable, but I wondered if I could get better scalp results. So glad I gave Scalp Health a try! I will be buying again and again!
